Greyscale Goo

Greyscale Goo (Mythic)

Category: Miscellaneous
Parent Trait: Grayscale Goo (Mythic)

The trait has recently switched from international english to more US-styled english, and is therefore renamed "Grayscale Goo".

This version of the trait should not be on any character, if you spot this on a character, please let the administration know.

Mammoth Tusks

Mammoth Tusks (Mythic)

Category: Mhoat Teeth
Species: Mhoats

These large tusk-like teeth resemble those seen on mammoths forming a noticeable outward curve that then twists back in toward the center of the mhoat's face.

Narwhal Tusk

Narwhal Tusk (Mythic)

Category: Mhoat Teeth
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

This large and strange type of tooth forms in a spiraling shape that continuously grows throughout the mhoat's lifetime. Mhoats with this tooth type will often file or clip the tooth down over time to avoid unfortunate accidents when trying to navigate crowded spaces.

Alternate Types
  • Narwhal Tusk (Mutation)
    Species: Mhoats (Aquatic subtype)

This large and strange type of tooth forms in a spiraling shape that continuously grows throughout the mhoat's lifetime. Aquatics with this tooth type are often quite vain about their tooth, the longer teeth being tied to age and prestige so they often try to avoid damaging it but are fine decorating it with jewelry or other such things.

Oracle Eyes

Oracle Eyes (Mythic)

Category: Mhoat Eyes
Species: Mhoats

This eye trait allows a mhoat to have grayscale eyes leaning towards white or light gray. Any color that has a saturation under 15 that appears white or light gray will fall under what this trait allows.

There is a superstition among Mynrosians that pure white eyes is a sign of future sight, so many see them as an actual Oracle who can see the future.

Unseeing

Unseeing (Mythic)

Category: Mhoat Eyes
Species: Mhoats

This eye trait allows a mhoat to have grayscale eyes leaning towards black or dark gray. Any color that has a value/brightness below 5 that appears black or dark gray will fall under what this trait allows.

Seraph Ears

Seraph Ears (Mythic)

Category: Mhoat Ears
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

This ear type gives a mhoat a double set of ears that are wing-like in appearance. The shape of these ears can be simpler in shape or detailed enough to show the individual feathers along the edge.

Element Faux Horns

Element Faux Horns (Mythic)

Category: Mhoat Faux Horns
Species: Mhoats

This type of faux horn can be made from any element; fire, water, electricity, air, etc.

Corvanus Tail

Corvanus Tail (Mythic)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

Mhoats with this tail type form an additional pair of wings in place of the tail. These wings can mimic any standard or mutation rarity wing found in the Mhoat Wings category.

Patterned Goo Patch

Patterned Goo Patch (Mythic)

Species: Mhoats

This trait is an enhanced version of Goo Patch, which allows for a variety of small and large patches to form across the body, even forming in patterns similar to markings that would usually be present on a mhoat's shell. The coverage of this trait can be fairly extensive but some part of the shell is still always present. Areas, where goo patches are present, can allow for additional retractable limbs beyond what is standard and may affect traits such as wings and tails.

Grayscale Goo

Grayscale Goo (Mythic)

Category: Mhoat Aethic Tones
Species: Mhoats

This trait allows mhoat's goo to have colors that range from white to black, which includes shades of gray that lack hints of color. Any color that has either a Saturation under 15 or a Value/Brightness under 5, falls under Grayscale Goo. Please use HSV/HSB to check, or input your Hexcode into Google, to see if this matches.

Pure grayscale, which has equal parts red, green, and blue, and therefore has a saturation of 0, defaults to a hue of 0° in most art programs. In reality, it is the exact same color no matter what degree of hue it is at, with the only possible change depending on brightness/value. Because of this, pure grayscale will not count as an additional tone.

Alternate Types
  • Greyscale Goo (Mythic)

The trait has recently switched from international english to more US-styled english, and is therefore renamed "Grayscale Goo".

This version of the trait should not be on any character, if you spot this on a character, please let the administration know.

Spectrum Goo

Spectrum Goo (Mythic)

Category: Mhoat Aethic Tones
Species: Mhoats

This goo shifts across a pre-determined set of colors over time, mhoats with this trait are usually unable to control the color shift or even stop it to display only a single color. It's possible for this trait to only affect parts of the goo and leave other sections with their own colors. When drawn a mhoat may be shown with all the colors of their gradient shown or only a few present.

When a character has this trait, it will not be required to have Single Tone Goo, Double Tone Goo, or Triad Goo, as it overrides the color limit. However, if it is specified that this trait only affects certain parts of the Mhoat and not the entire body, you will still need to heed the color limits and thus require the traits.

When submitting a design with this trait you will need to have a gradient bar present as shown in the trait example so we can make sure it follows the trait guidelines above and so that anyone using the masterlist as a reference can easily pull the colors and replicate the gradient easily.

Mood Ring Goo

Mood Ring Goo (Mythic)

Category: Mhoat Aethic Tones
Species: Mhoats

This type of goo shifts in color depending on specific stimuli a mhoat experiences; what causes the color shift is unique from one mhoat to the next and if two mhoats share a method of color shift (such as emotions), this does not mean they will share the same goo color. This color shift can affect all of the goo or only parts of the goo and can be caused by different stimuli such as emotions, seasons, weather, etc.

When submitting a mhoat with this design you will need to include a set of colors and either symbols or words outlining what causes the goo color to shift. You will also need to include in the comment section of the design approval the exact method of color change.

Babirusa Tusks

Babirusa Tusks (Mythic)

Category: Vabbit Teeth
Species: Vabbits

These showy tusks form on the top and bottom of the vabbit's jaw with both sets curling up and away from the face.

Droopy Ears

Droopy Ears (Mythic)

Category: Vabbit Ears
Species: Vabbits

This ear type is extremely long and droopy, often being as long as the vabbit is tall, and may even drag on the ground. Vabbits with this trait tend to tie up or braid their ears to keep them out of the way and protect the sensitive inner ear from their own steam.

Stained Glass Plates

Stained Glass Plates (Mythic)

Category: Vabbit Plates
Species: Vabbits

These plates are slightly see through. There is no limitation on markings or colors for these type of plates.

This will require the Stained Glass Colors trait to replace the default Vabbit Tones traits.

Animated Bones

Animated Bones (Mythic)

Category: Vabbit Plates
Species: Vabbits

Vabbits with this trait completely lack plates or musculature in their arms or around their face, due to this their bones are fully on display, and the inner fire present in their marrow lights and animated the bones to allow for mobility. Vabbits with this trait always lack a nose, so the opening in their skull will display their inner fire, this inner fire is always the color of their inner flesh or those that would otherwise be present on the plates.

*The bones are grayscale by default unless otherwise modified by another trait.

Stained Glass Colors

Stained Glass Colors (Mythic)

Category: Vabbit Tones
Species: Vabbits

This trait is in place for any other Vabbit Body trait, negating the requirement of having both a Color and Tone trait and allowing for unlimited colors from any range.

This trait is, however, only allowed as long as the Stained Glass Plates trait is applied.

Jet Exhaust

Jet Exhaust (Mythic)

Category: Vabbit Body
Species: Vabbits

This trait allows a set of plates that form into open vents that function similarly to jet exhausts that can appear anywhere on the vabbit's body. These vents can release powerful bursts of flame and steam that can allow a vabbit to fly through the air.

*Vabbits with this trait are able to learn air elemental magic but lose the ability to learn earth elemental magic.
