Traits

Cherubim Tail

Cherubim Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

Mhoats with this trait have a long whip-like tail with numerous sets of small wings along its length. Longer tails tend to have more wings present and these wings can resemble any standard rarity wing seen under the Mhoat Wings category, while higher rarities will be dependent upon those wings being present on the design or being combined with other tail traits.

Mushroom Cap Tail

Mushroom Cap Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

This tail type is retractable, meaning the mhoat can pull it into the body and leave just the mushroom cap showing when it wants to have a little bobtail. The tip of this tail tends to have plating on it, which follows the body colors but this is not mandatory detail.

Seal Tail

Seal Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Species: Mhoats (Aquatic subtype)

Aquatics with this trait form a tail resembling those seen on a variety of different seal species.

Newt Tail

Newt Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Species: Mhoats (Aquatic subtype)

Aquatics with this trait form long thick tails with a fin a paddle-like fin at the end.

Sea Snake Tail

Sea Snake Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Species: Mhoats (Aquatic subtype)

Aquatics with this tail trait form a long slender tail with a tiny paddle-like extension at the end like those seen on sea snakes.

Stingray Tail

Stingray Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Parent Trait: Stingray Tail (Summer)
Species: Mhoats (Aquatic subtype)

Aquatics with this tail type form a tail that resembles a stingray with a long, whip-like tail that forms two pairs of fins, a large and smaller set along its length.

Lobster Tail

Lobster Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Species: Mhoats (Aquatic subtype)

Aquatics with this trait have a thick, sturdy tail covered in thick plating and ends in a thick, fanned tail.

Octo Tail

Octo Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Parent Trait: Octo Tail (Fall)
Species: Mhoats (Aquatic subtype)

This tail type allows the mhoat to have a set of up to 8 tentacles that resemble an octopus' legs. Unlike other tails, you may only combine this trait with the multiple tails trait once for a total of 12 tails allowed on a design.

Layered Tail

Layered Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Species: Mhoats (Aquatic subtype)

This tail type can either match the example shown or be any number of stylized and layered fins. These fins can be both at the end of the tail or along the entire length of it, how they are applied is entirely up to the creative choices of the artist designing the mhoat. This tail type tends to be more elegant and showy, tails mimicking various types of flowers being fairly common.

Spino Tail

Spino Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Species: Mhoats

Mhoats with this trait form a thick, paddle-like tail with a section resembling a fin or frill extending from the top of the tail.

Ankylo Tail

Ankylo Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Species: Mhoats

Mhoats with this trait form a heavy, armored tail with either a set of spikes or a heavy club at the end. The weight of this tail can often leave a mhoat off-balanced and clumsy.

Kangaroo Tail

Kangaroo Tail (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Tails
Parent Trait: Kangaroo Tail (Mutation)
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

This tail type is long and sturdy with the ability to rest against the ground and prevent a mhoat from falling backwards should they lose their balance.

Bone Wings

Bone Wings (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Wings
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

These strange, skeletal wings are rather small and don't allow the mhoats who have them any flight capabilities.

Demon Wings

Demon Wings (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Wings
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

This trait gives mhoats a medium-sized wing that appears to be fairly solid without a membrane forming the bridge between the joints that give these wings form, but the underside of these wings can display a mhoat's goo. These wings are capable of gliding short distances when jumping from higher elevations but don't seem able to fly with them outright.

Dragonfly Wings

Dragonfly Wings (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Wings
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

These insect-like wings are made up of two pairs of wings that can flap at high speeds, which allow mhoats who have them to fly freely. These wings strongly resemble those of dragonflies, lacewings, and cicadas.

Fairy Dragon Wings

Fairy Dragon Wings (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Wings
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

These fanciful wings can appear in either one or two pairs and are made of a rigid framework joined by membranes formed from a mhoat's own goo. Given their larger size, these wings are capable of flight beyond just being aesthetically pleasing.

Flutter Wings

Flutter Wings (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Wings
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

This trait gives mhoats a large pair of wings made of two sections that strongly resemble those of moths and butterflies. They are capable of flight, but are fairly delicate so most mhoats with these wings must pay special attention to protecting them from damage.

Angel Wings

Angel Wings (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Wings
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

These large feathered wings are capable of flight and resemble the wings of many different types of birds. Given these wings are covered in feathers, mhoats with them will often have to practice some level of upkeep to keep those feathers in flight condition.

Dragon Wings

Dragon Wings (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Wings
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

These large membranous wings resemble the wings of both bats and mythical creatures such as dragons. Given their size, these wings allow mhoats who have them to fly with some ease.

Cape Wings

Cape Wings (Mutation)

Category: Mhoat Wings
Species: Mhoats (Land subtype)

This trait isn't so much a wing as a type of skin draping that extends from the shoulders and mimics a cape. This trait has a lot of variety and can be highly decorative, even taking on the goo color to appear sheer and veil-like.  At its highest coverage, this wing type can extend to the front of the body to resemble a poncho. This trait can mimic the shape of other wing types and can be layered to appear like multiple wings, but since these aren't true wings they cannot appear to be functional when drawn and do not allow a mhoat to fly.
