Traits
Chalkboard Plates (Mutation)
Can be used for temporary writing, such as with chalk. While the main plates are black or very dark gray, the vabbit's claws and Back Plates (trait) can still be other colors, following the rules of the plating colors. The chalkboard color is exempt from the count.
Beaky Plates (Mutation)
This plate type extends beyond the vabbit's nose and forms into a beak-like shape on the vabbits face, and this trait also modifies the arm plates, making them appear more wing-like visually.
Triple Color (Mutation)
These colors are applied to the plates and inner flesh but excluded from bones, teeth, eyes, and nails.
Cool Tones (Mutation)
Cool Tones have hues between 160° and 290° on the HSV or HSL scale. This section is mostly blue tones.
Pure grayscale, which has equal parts red, green, and blue, and therefore has a saturation of 0, defaults to a hue of 0° in most art programs. In reality, it is the exact same color no matter what degree of hue it is at, with the only possible change depending on brightness/value. Because of this, pure grayscale will count as Cool Tones only if there is another tone present that falls under cool tones.
Chalk Growths (Mutation)
Literal chalk just growing out of a Vabbit's body. By default white, but may be similar to plating color.
Graphite Claws (Mutation)
Front claws become grayscale, regardless of plating color. Can use claws to write with.
Bird Back Feet (Mutation)
This trait gives a vabbit bird-like feet that are unable to grow fur, but instead form very thin plating that resembles those found on bird feet. The color of these feet is always similar to the flesh color seen on the inner ear as they are not thick enough to develop the full color seen on the rest of the vabbit's plating.
Double Claws (Mutation)
This trait allows vabbits to form complex plates with a secondary set of claws present on the arms that can be retracted and extended whenever the vabbit desires.
Star Digger (Mutation)
This trait gives vabbits extra long claws on their front feet as well as a uniquely shaped nose that can appear star-like or similar to different types of moles. The nose will always lack fur, which means that it will share the same muted color on the plates, similar to the color that appears on the inner ear.
Glowing Vents (Mutation)
Vabbit's inner bodies are always superheated, which means when their vents open to release steam they will display the natural glow present beneath their plating, but this trait allows a vabbit to always display this glow as their vents are open and visible at all times. The plating and inner flesh all share similar colors so the colors displayed on the vents will have color limitations applied if they vary from the plating color.
*When creating an image for the masterlist you may keep the vent colors at their full glow color, but there shouldn't be any shading present on the masterlist entry as this can make checking plating colors difficult for the mods.
Scales (Mutation)
This trait allows heat-resistant scales to form over all parts of a vabbit's body, these scales tend to be on the smaller side and aren't held to the same color restrictions seen on the larger plating present on the rest of the vabbit's body.
Raptor Talons (Mutation)
This trait modifies a vabbit's back feet by replacing the toes with big chunky claws.
Flash Crests (Mutation)
Vabbits with this trait have a set of foldable crests that can give off a colorful flash matching the color of either the vabbit's plates or their inner flesh. The crests themselves can be any color and vabbits with this trait often use them as a means of long-distance communication as they dig new tunnels deep into the underground.
Calico Bones (Mutation)
Vabbits with this trait have bones that display their own unique set of colors and aren't limited to the grayscale range.
*This trait is displayed using glass plates to show off more of the bones, but you would need to apply both traits independently on a design for the bones to be displayed in this way.
