This trait forms thick flaps of skin on the vabbit's body that connect the tail to the back legs and the back legs to the chest. These flaps tend to be merely cosmetic, but vabbits that live in volcanic biomes where vents and geysers are present can use the firey updrafts to glide from one location to the next, but this is only possible in places where fire magic exists in abundance.
This trait alters a vabbit's body so that it forms a sweet, desert-like appearance which can affect all parts of the vabbit's body including the plating. The example shown here is only part of what is available with this trait and the overall look is entirely up to the artist, but all plate sections are still held to the guidelines surrounding a vabbit's plating.
Vabbit's inner bodies are always superheated, which means when their vents open to release steam they will display the natural glow present beneath their plating, but this trait allows a vabbit to always display this glow as their vents are open and visible at all times. The plating and inner flesh all share similar colors so the colors displayed on the vents will have color limitations applied if they vary from the plating color.
*When creating an image for the masterlist you may keep the vent colors at their full glow color, but there shouldn't be any shading present on the masterlist entry as this can make checking plating colors difficult for the mods.
This trait totally transforms the appearance of a vabbit to the point that plating covers the entirety of its body and they take on more aquatic traits that are rarely seen on the species. Despite their aquatic appearance, these vabbits actually do not dwell in the water, instead, they gain an affinity for electricity that becomes present in glowing eyes that give off sparks as well as glowing sections on their modified ears, claws, and the webbing present on their back feet. They can resemble a variety of aquatic creatures such as sharks, dolphins, lobsters, crabs, and so on but all of these will have a much more mechanical and plated appearance than their natural counterparts.
*Vabbits with this trait lose their ability to learn earth elemental magic but instead can learn air elemental magics and by extension access lightning elemental magic which is an advanced branch of the elemental tree.
This trait gives vabbits extra long claws on their front feet as well as a uniquely shaped nose that can appear star-like or similar to different types of moles. The nose will always lack fur, which means that it will share the same muted color on the plates, similar to the color that appears on the inner ear.
This trait causes vabbit plates to slowly deteriorate over time to the point that small parts of the plates will shed off in a constant glittery display. This trait doesn't affect how the plates themselves display visually, beyond the visual effect present surrounding the vabbit.
Vabbits with this trait generate such intense heat internally that the flames cannot be contained within their body and need to be continuously released from their vents. Alongside these flames, their eyes give off a firey trail, and floating fire lights form around their body.
*The fire colors don't have to match any color present on the vabbit, so whether the fire colors are unique or a color present on the design is entirely up to the artist.
This trait gives a vabbit bird-like feet that are unable to grow fur, but instead form very thin plating that resembles those found on bird feet. The color of these feet is always similar to the flesh color seen on the inner ear as they are not thick enough to develop the full color seen on the rest of the vabbit's plating.
This trait allows a set of plates that form into open vents that function similarly to jet exhausts that can appear anywhere on the vabbit's body. These vents can release powerful bursts of flame and steam that can allow a vabbit to fly through the air.
*Vabbits with this trait are able to learn air elemental magic but lose the ability to learn earth elemental magic.
Vabbits with this trait find portions of their body consumed by their own fire, a mutation in their natural fire tolerance being interrupted in random sections of their body. As a result, parts of their body have been burned away to display bone and muscle, with the fur near these areas appearing singed and soot-covered.
A particular species of moss that can be found deep in the caves vabbits call home can be transferred in their fur and begin to grow, this moss gives off a bioluminescent glow and can form naturally occurring marking patterns. Spots are commonly seen with this trait, but there are a wide variety of markings types that the moss can form in a vabbit's fur to give them a slight glow. These mosses come in a variety of colors as well beyond the green shown below.
